Welcome to Rutherford Intermediate School
Welcome to Rutherford Intermediate School
At Rutherford, we aim to create a positive, inclusive and safe environment. Our staff are dedicated to fostering excellence in academics, sports and the arts. Our campus features large grounds, a gymnasium, artificial turf, specialised rooms for different subjects, a library and spaces for music, food and art.
Our school motto, 'Poipoia te Pitomata' – 'Harness the Potential' means giving every student the chance to learn, grow, and be their best. Our values: Kia Manaaki - Be Respectful, Kia Manawanui - Be Resilient, Kia Tūtika - Be Responsible highlight the outcomes we aim for each student. We prioritise building strong, respectful relationships with our students and their whānau.
In this supportive environment, we can guide your child through a period of personal growth and change. We are committed to upholding high standards and fostering a culture of care, excellence and continuous self-improvement.
If you would like to discuss opportunities for your child at Rutherford, please email me to arrange a meeting at: hhepburn@rutherford.ac.nz
